Rubbish in Rubbish out





Some years ago I stopped Automatically watching TV, listening to Radio Shows and reading the News Paper everyday.


It started with TV, I realized  that I was getting more than I bargained for in the programming on the TV. I realized that there was a theme going on with the type of shows networks were selecting, and at the same time noticed a mesmerizing effect that distorted my time & focus while watching that little box. I wondered if it was just me, so I began to observe other people too and the patterns of their behaviour while watching TV I watched similar varying patterns in the way they became under the spell too, some even shouted at the TV as if it was a living thing.
I did not want to be influenced covertly while I was under the Trance of some sitcom which I wasn't really interested in but "there was nothing else on" .


Then I Realized when I was listening to the Radio some of the tunes I would initially like were being played over and over again, it seemed like and in between the plays (a selection of a few repeated records) were other peoples ideas of what was important to them, I realized this too is covert Hypnosis and Influence I wanted to choose how I listened to music and without it being interrupted suddenly (when i was in a peak state) with other peoples opinions and values that did not match mine.


I noticed that News Papers were written by opposing political parties and usually were pushing their own agenda and influencing from this angle depending on which opinion of the News I chose.


So Slowly I changed my way of doing things to include what I selected to go in to my Mind and control my own mood and how I felt about Myself, The world, The news, What show I wanted to watch, what I wanted to purchase and so on.


Conditioning is everywhere in media and I am ok with this, it is just I want to be in tune with how I ultimately feel about myself in all I do.


Many times the media has much to do with how we feel about ourselves, do we feel successful, Ugly, Unwanted and not good enough and fearful of our future.


The solutions How to feel better are then provided by the media after they have got us into the desired state. 


Instead I choose to Buy whatever show I want to watch and lately there hasn't been much I can tell you, select and Buy my own music, Magazines, research a news Item by my own methods and always cross reference an article and most of all realize we still only have part of the story.


You may not agree with this idea and that is fine, what I would ask you to consider is "Rubbish going in produces Rubbish coming out".


Being told how to feel and think without stopping to think for yourself is akin to brainwashing which the majority of people would become outraged about.


Choose what you will put in to your mind, things that make you feel great, Things that reinforce your goals, things that celebrate your uniqueness and affirm your existence just as you are right now. Any improvements you decide to make to your life begin by accepting who you are right now first and focusing on self love and affirmation.  


Begin to notice as you are using media how it makes you feel, do you feel great and expectant for your own life and your image pay attention, are you going into a Trance.


Do what works best for you, perhaps some minor Tweaking here and there will make a huge difference.


You can always Turn it off or walk away from something that does not make you feel great even when you are not sure why you feel bad.
